I felt like writing about something I am awesome at. Dancing. I know. That's cocky to say. Well, if you think that, then you've never seen me cut a rug. For real, i'm good. I know I'm good and I worked hard to be good. Growing up a fat asian guy, I don't have much going for me but my shexy dance moves. Halt the drooling ladies, there's more.
I remember growing up and just feeling the music. I dunno why. I would just tap my hands to the beat of whatever was playing. When it hits, when it falls, when it flys, and when it cranks. I hear and anticipate what the music makes me do. It's weird.
So I've tried to figure it out. My mom says that when I was younger, she took me to a wedding in my baby crib and left me close to the speakers. haha. I guess that might have gotten me thumpin at a young age.
Michael Jackson was a big influence. He was a pretty innovative dancer with a lot of good music behind him. I used to get money thrown at me by my relatives if i danced the MJ moves in front of them. I was such an entertainer. Still am I guess.
But yeah, dancing is awesome. I don't mean to be cocky or talk it up like I'm the shyt. I just want to say dancing is really therapeutic for me. Expressive and creative and fun. I never stop learning new moves and I love watching great dancers really do great things with Dance and take it to different levels. Go dance. Go let loose. You know, I love the expression, 'Dance like no one is watching. ' We should, because dancing is the body and mind communicating while the mouth needs a break.
Never stop groovin'. Ever.
